11/25/2014 Thanksgiving Week Hours

From our 11/23 newsletter:

Hi folks!
Well, here we are, teetering on the edge of the holiday season, carefully trying to keep our balance lest we get swooshed into the frenzy.  Now, I know a lot of you really enjoy preparing for the holidays:  the baking, the decorating, parties, Christmas music, all that good stuff.  What a fun time!

But I know something else.  I know that for lots of folks, the holidays are a very stressful time.  With this in mind, my wish for the next month is for Double Ewe to be an oasis of calm.  So, we won't be having any crazy Black Friday hours; on Small Business Saturday, we hope you'll support small business such as Double Ewe, but we hope that all year long.  We won't be playing 20 versions of the same 8 Christmas songs all day long either.  Really, I love the holidays, but I don't love the frenzy.

So, if you need a break, come to the shop, settle in, knit or crochet a bit, breath deep and exhale.  Things will calm down soon.

Thanksgiving Week Hours
We'll be open our regular hours this week except on Thanksgiving day.

Tuesday 10am - 9pm
Wednesday 10am - 6pm
Thanksgiving day Closed
Friday 10am - 6pm
Saturday 9am - 5pm

With the holiday this week, we have no scheduled classes on Friday or Saturday, so if you're off work and looking for a fun place to hang out, join us.  We'll even have some treats.

Our first newsletter was sent out on July 4th.  Well, not really first, but you know what I mean.  The word is out.  If you'd like to get the newsletter in your inbox, sign up on the right side of this page.  We keep your email address very private, won't spam you, and I'll typically send out emails once or twice a month.

Double Ewe is re-opening!

May 6, 2014 Update
We recently announced that Double Ewe is re-opening, and I'm pretty pumped about it!  Here's the scoop:

We're going to be located in the same building, but in a different space - at the other end of the mall, two doors down from where Hometown Pizza used to be.

The space is significantly bigger than where we were - almost double the size.  We're planning for plenty of seating with elbow room.

I'm in the process of selecting my inventory, (really fun and a bit scary) - some of our old favorites will be returning as well as some lines I didn't carry before:  Madelinetosh, Sun Valley, Classic Elite, Ewe Ewe Yarns, and more.  (It's nice not to be bound by space limitations!)

Tami's coming back too!

Finally, when are we opening?  We're planning on late July/early August.  We get into the space June 1st, but there's a lot of work to be done:  walls to tear down, other walls to paint, shelves to put back together, etc.  So, we need a little time, but we'll get there!

So, stay tuned!

Double Ewe Closed in September 2012

October 16, 2012 Update
You may have noticed I've done some updates to this website.  Yes, the shop is now closed, but I'm planning on keeping this site going, at least for a while.  The free patterns will continue to be here, however they are now all available as Ravelry downloads as well.  Just search for them using either Double Ewe or Kelly Judson as the designer.

You may notice that there are two new tabs up top:  Needles and Yarn.  These tabs contain lists of the needles and  yarn that I still have available.  If you're interested in any of them, please just shoot me an email (  I'll be adding photos of the yarn sometime in the near future.  Yarn is priced at 50% off regular retail, and needles are priced at 25% off.  I'll be adding an "other stuff" tab as will, which will include notions, crochet hooks, slipper soles, and whatnot.

And finally, please note the My Favorite Places and Stay Connected links to the right.  Ravelry and Facebook are great ways to stay in touch.

October 1, 2012
Double Ewe is now closed.  Thank you, thank you, thank you, for all your support and kind words.  This isn't goodbye, it's just a "see ya' later".  Maybe we'll bump into each other, at Yarnover, Shepherd's Harvest, at another LYS, or maybe a coffee shop.  Maybe we'll be able to sit down with a cup of coffee, chat, and knit for a while.  I hope so.
