Yarn: 240+ yards light-worsted or DK yarn. Model knit with Meriboo from Frog Tree Yarns (2 balls).
Needles: Size US 6
Finished dimensions: width 5”, length 44”; if longer scarf is desired, each additional skein of Meriboo will add about 22”.
Row1(WS): S1 wyif, k1, S1 wyif, (k1, p2, k1, p4)3x, k1, p2, k1, S1 wyif, k1, S1 wyif
Row 2(RS): K1, S1 wyif, K1, (p1, ssk, yo, p1, k4)3x, p1, ssk, yo, p1, k1, S1 wyif, k1
Row 3 and all WS rows: Repeat Row 1
Row 4: K1, S1 wyif, K1, (p1, yo, k2tog, p1, C4F)3x, p1, yo, k2tog, p1, k1, S1 wyif, k1
Row 6: K1, S1 wyif, K1, (p1, ssk, yo, p1, k4)3x, p1, ssk, yo, p1, k1, S1 wyif, k1
Row 8: K1, S1 wyif, K1, (p1, yo, k2tog, p1, k4)3x, p1, yo, k2tog, p1, k1, S1 wyif, k1
Cast on 34 stitches.
Knit stitch pattern above until desired length is reached, ending with row 7. Bind
off in pattern.
yo: yarnover Wrap the yarn once from front to back around the right needle. On the next
row, work it as a normal stitch. This creates a small hole.
k2tog: knit two together Knit two stitches together as one.
ssk: slip slip knit - slip two stitches, one at a time as to knit from left needle to right needle, then insert left needle into the two stitches in front of the right needle, and knit the two together as one.
wyif: with yarn in front
C4F: Slip two stitches to cable needle and hold in front, knit two, knit two stitches from
cable needle.
