Three Cable Scarf

Materials

Yarn: 100 grams (approx. 200 yards) worsted weight yarn
Needles: Size US 9
Cable Needle

Instructions

Cast on 26 Stitches. Knit 6 Rows, then begin cable pattern.

Row 1: K2, P2, K4, P2, K6, P2, K4, P2, K2

Row 2: (and all even side rows) K4, P4, K2, P6, K2, P4, K4

Row 3: Same as row 1

Row 5: K2, P2, C4F, P2, K6, P2, C4F, P2, K2

Row 7: Same as row 1

Row 9: Same as row 1

Row 11: K2, P2, C4F, P2, C6B, P2, C4F, P2, K2

Row 12: Same as row 2 (this is the last row of the pattern repeat).

Repeat rows 1 – 12 until scarf reaches desired length, then knit rows 1-10.

Finish with 6 rows garter stitch (knit every row). Bind off loosely on 6th row (wrong side). Weave ends and block.

C4F: Slip 2 sts to cn, hold to front, K2, K2 from cn.

C6B: Slip 3 sts to cn, hold to back, K3, K3 from cn.
